Ingredients · for 8 (scales to your household)

Per-ingredient cost is the amount this recipe uses at the lowest Canadian price we have on file; the per-serving total above adds the range up to the dearest price and for buying whole packages.

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F.
  2. Cut a large loaf of ciabatta bread in half, horizontally. If using a smaller sheet tray, you can cut the ciabatta into smaller pieces.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the softened butter, mayonnaise, shredded cheeses, and garlic.
  4. Divide the cheesy garlic butter in half, spreading each portion liberally onto the ciabatta halves. You should have a thicker layer of cheese spread on each side of the ciabatta.
  5. Bake the cheese toast for 10 minutes, until the cheese has melted. Switch the oven to broil on HI for 3-5 minutes, until the cheese and the bread is lightly brown and crisp.
  6. Cut the garlic bread into squares or triangles, and serve while hot.
