850+ recipes·Canadian prices, as a range·No ads, no third-party trackers·30-day free trial, no card
Eat at home more, waste less, and take the daily "what's for dinner?" off your plate. Hearth runs your household's meals from plan to plate — one price for everyone.
It's 5 o'clock. Still no plan.
It's not that you can't cook. Dinner just gets decided at the worst possible moment — tired, in the car, already in the aisle — with no idea what's waiting at home.
"What do you want for dinner?" "I don't know — you?"

How it works
Three steps, one week sorted
1
Build your favourites list
Browse 850+ recipes and save the ones your household actually eats. Rate as you go — Hearth learns which recipes to prioritize.
2
Plan the week and generate your list
Add recipes to your weekly plan (or hit Randomize). One tap builds a shopping list sorted by store section — already accounting for what you have on hand.
3
Cook step-by-step, scaled to your household
Set your household size once and every recipe adjusts automatically. Before you start, Hearth checks the recipe against your kitchen and shows exactly what you're missing — one tap sends it to the shopping list. Then it walks you through each step, one at a time, in type you can read from across the counter.
More than a recipe app
💵
See what each dinner costs
Real per-serving prices on every recipe, and what's on sale near you this week — the thing almost no other app shows. Cook to your budget, not by guessing.
🧊
It knows what's in your kitchen
Pantry, fridge, and freezer stay current as you cook. Hearth flags what's expiring soon and shows what you can make right now with what you've already got.
🛒
A shopping list that skips what you have
One tap turns your week into a list sorted by aisle — with what's already in your kitchen subtracted, so you don't buy the third jar of cumin.
🏠
One list — everyone adds to it
The kids add cereal, your partner adds shampoo, you add Thursday's dinner. Whoever's heading to the store has it all — no "so what does everyone want this week?"
📥
Import any recipe you already love
Paste a link from most recipe sites, a Word document or PDF, a TikTok or Instagram caption, or a photo of a handwritten card. Hearth reads it in — already costed, nutrition-checked, and ready to plan.
📐
Scaled to your household, on any device
Set your household size once and every recipe adjusts — amounts, servings, the shopping list. Install it on your phone, right there with your other apps, and your shopping list still opens in a store with no signal.

Why I built Hearth
From our kitchen to yours
My wife did most of the cooking in our house until our schedules changed and I started handling the evening meals. I told her, "I really enjoy cooking," and she said, "that's because you don't do the shopping or the planning." That's what started this project.
I tried the meal-planning apps out there. Each does a piece well, but none tie the whole thing together — planning, shopping, what's already in your kitchen, and the actual cooking. So I built the one I wanted: the full loop, in one place, and I use it every week.
Hearth isn't a flashy startup chasing investors — it's built and actively run by one person who got tired of watching the people he loves carry the whole weight of feeding everyone. That's on purpose: no investors, no ads, no upsells — and the only person I answer to is you, the customer. And your data is always yours — export it or delete it in one tap, anytime. Nothing locks you in but whether Hearth earns its keep each week.
The goal is simple: help you eat at home one more time this year than you would have otherwise, waste less by cooking what you have before it expires, and lift a little of the weight off whoever runs your kitchen. Small things that add up.

Common questions
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. The 30-day free trial starts the moment you create an account. No payment info required until you choose to subscribe.
I've tried meal planners before and stopped. Why is this different?
Most apps hand you recipes and stop — the planning, the shopping list, and tracking what's in your kitchen are all still on you, so they get abandoned. Hearth does the whole loop: your plan becomes one aisle-sorted shopping list (minus what you already have), and your kitchen stays current as you cook. You can start light, too — a few favourites and your household size is enough for week one.
Can multiple people in my household use it?
Yes — one subscription covers your whole household. Invite family members from Settings. Everyone shares the same plan, shopping list, and inventory in real time.
Can I add my own recipes?
Yes. Paste any recipe URL or upload a PDF — Hearth parses the ingredients and steps automatically. Your custom recipes are private to your household.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
You keep access until the end of the period you paid for. You can export all your data from Settings at any time. Cancelling doesn't delete anything: your account and recipes stay, and you can export or permanently delete them from Settings whenever you like.
Is my kitchen and family data private?
Yes. What's in your kitchen, what your household eats, and your weekly plans are yours alone — never sold, never shared, never used for ads. Export or permanently delete everything from Settings anytime.
Is this a Canadian app?
Yes — built and operated from Manitoba, Canada. Prices are in CAD. Payment is processed by Helcim, a Canadian payment company.
