Ingredients · for 4 (scales to your household)

Per-ingredient cost is the amount this recipe uses at the lowest Canadian price we have on file; the per-serving total above adds the range up to the dearest price and for buying whole packages.

Method

  1. In saucepan, cook rice according to package directions. Fluff with fork.
  2. Sprinkle pork with salt. In large nonstick skillet, cook pork and salt over medium heat, breaking up with spoon, until no longer pink, about 8 minutes. Set aside.
  3. In same pan, heat 1 tbsp of the oil over medium heat; cook green beans, garlic and minced Thai pepper, stirring occasionally, until green beans are tender, about 5 minutes. Add pork, water, vinegar, fish sauce and brown sugar; cook, stirring, until heated through, about 2 minutes. Divide rice among serving bowls; top with pork mixture. Keep warm. Wipe pan clean.
  4. In same pan, heat remaining 1 tbsp oil over medium heat; cook eggs until whites are set but yolks are still runny, about 3 minutes.
  5. Arrange 1 egg over each pork bowl. Sprinkle with cilantro and green onions and sliced Thai pepper.
