Lazy Lasagna

Method

1. Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat until no longer pink; drain off the fat. Stir in the jar of pasta sauce — this is your meat sauce.
2. Set aside 1/2 cup of the mozzarella for the topping. In a large bowl, combine the remaining 1 1/2 cups mozzarella with the tub of cottage cheese, eggs, parsley, onion powder, basil, and pepper. This is the cheese mixture.
3. Spread a fourth of the meat sauce over the bottom of a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
4. Layer on 3 noodles, then half of the cheese mixture, then another fourth of the meat sauce.
5. Repeat the layer: 3 more noodles, the rest of the cheese mixture, and another fourth of the meat sauce.
6. Top with the last 3 noodles and the final fourth of the meat sauce.
7. Pour the water around the edges of the dish. Sprinkle the top with the reserved 1/2 cup mozzarella and the parmesan.
8. Cover the dish with foil and bake at 375F for 45 minutes.
9. Remove the foil and bake 15 minutes more, until the top is browned and bubbly.
10. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.
