Method

1. Brown the ground beef in a large saucepan over medium heat.
2. Do not drain. Use a potato masher to mash the ground beef into very small pieces that are about the size of rice.
3. Dissolve the cornstarch in the water, and then add the solution (slurry) plus the remaining ingredients to the pan. Bring the mix ture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 60 to 75 minutes, or until thick.
